internal damper, makes you pull no G's at all when moving at high speeds, if you turn the internal dampers off, when you go to fast than light speeds, you will be flattened against the walls.

=========================Edit

From ErnestBorg9:

"Internal damper" is a nonsense term.

INERTIAL dampener is actually the correct term as far as spelling is concerned ("dampener"), although "inertial damper" also tends to be used interchangably with it.
