Welcome to Star Trek Answers. What would you like to know?

March 22, 2233 aka Stardate 1277.1 (2260's stardate system) aka Stardate 2233.04 (2230's stardate system).

The Stardate 2233.04 date (given in the new Star Trek movie) would seem to indicate January 4th, 2233 instead of March 22nd (given in the episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before"). Since the WNMHGB data has already been previously contradicted (the date comes from a gravestone that also gives Kirk's middle initial as "R.", which is wrong), I am more inclined to believe the January 4th date, but the overwhelming majority of fans still hold March 22nd to be the "official" date. March 22nd is also the date on which citizens of real-world Riverside, Iowa annually celebrate the "future birthday" of their city's most famous son.
