What indicators are their of this?

change in the uniforms between ST:TMP and STII:TWOK

The change in Starfleet uniform design was simply a wardrobe upgrade as a result of progress, not of any major political shift. Armed Forces in the real world commonly do this too.

You're telling me you don't see a stylistic difference between the jammies they wore in ST:TMP and all the gold braid, etc. they wore in STII:TWOK? Not to mention David Marcus referring to Starfleet as "the military"? ProfessorTrek 02:45, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

Starfleet was back in that day ALWAYS refered to as a Military.

I'd say there is more evidance that there was a revolution of some sort between ST:6 and TNG

So whenever there's a difference in fashion it means there's been a revolution of some kind? --StarkRG 07:01, February 4, 2012 (UTC)
