Warp nine is 1516.381 times the speed of light, in the TNG scale, but only 729 times lightspeed on the TOS scale.-Cpthunt (talk) 23:19, January 8, 2013 (UTC)

its interesting you bring up that theres diffrent speed scales on the diffrent shows. what would be the speed of warp 9 in Star trek movie part one ? in this first star trek motion picture it featured a re-vamped enterprise ship. it looked different then it did in TOS but it was the same ship not Enterprise A which was featured in the following star trek movies Promethius20 (talk) 15:33, January 10, 2013 (UTC)

During the TOS Movie era, they still used the TOS warp scale.  According to most sources, the change over to the scale used in The Next Generation didn't occur until the early to mid 24th century, right before TNG, and many years after the TOS Movies took place.-Cpthunt (talk) 05:19, January 11, 2013 (UTC)

FYI--The Enterprise seen in Star Trek I, II, and III was the same ship from the television show.  The Enterprise A did not show up until the end of Star Trek IV and was seen in V and VI. 22:40, January 12, 2013 (UTC)
